Get your Kicks on Route 66!
This fun collection of quilts debuted at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Festival and was displayed at the Round Bobbin Expo. A 60 foot long fabric map provided the foundation for these quilts from around the country that range from realistic to whimsical. This is a wonderful display and everyone loved the quilts and presentation! |

Passions of the Past
Attendees took a walk down memory lane through the elegant Passions of the Past. Lingerie through the years of 1860 to 1950 was displayed. Entertaining stories and information about the period were scattered through this program brought to you by Carol Ann Miller. Carol Ann Miller has been collecting original Fashions of the Past clothing and accessories for over 20 years. Her collections are a Living History Museum..

Round Bobbin Fashion Show & Competition
New to the Round Bobbin in 2012 was the Round Bobbin Fashion Show & Competition.Cash prizes were awarded.
Items were judged on creativity, construction, fit (if applicable) and design.
Items for the fashion show included clothing and/or accessories.
This included bags, knitted and crochet items.
Judging was done at the Round Bobbin Expo on September 14 at noon.
The fashion show took place on Saturday afternoon. |
New - The Hoffman/Sulky Challenge
The Hoffman/Sulky Challenge is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Each year the top entries are grouped into travelling collections and visit quilt and fiber shows, seminars, quilt shops and quilt and doll makers' guilds in the U.S. and Canada. Pictured right is a sample of fabric for this years challenge. |

Irena Bluhm Quilt Exhibit
Irena Bluhm is a quilter, instructor, pattern designer and author of eight books.
Irena displayed many of her award winning quilts at the Festival.
Attendees enjoyed viewing the results of her techniques and she was there to answer questions.

Fun Food for Body and Soul Exhibit Feeds Needy Children |
 |
Sales of the donated 22" quilts and "1905 Cookbooks" along with 150 antique quilts on BuckboardQuilts.com helped to feed needy children. Many of these quilts were sold. The 1905 Cookbook Food for Body & Soul by Judy Howard, was available for only $15 each. |

Attendees received $2 off admission with a non-perishable food donation
Donations of non-perishable items collected at the Round Bobbin Expo were given to Operation Food Search.
Operation Food Search, established in 1981, is a non-profit organization that distributes food free of charge to more than 250 community agencies. More than 2 million pounds of food and personal care items are distributed each month. This outreach helps support more than 120,000 low income individuals each month. Nearly half the recipients are children.
