Creating Applique The Husqvarna-Viking Way

This is a hands-on machine applique class.

The first phase will focus on satin stitch technique for creating high-quality raw-edge applique. Participants will be provided a pre-fused applique project so that class time will be spent entirely on sewing technique.
The second phase will be fun! Participants will use decorative machine stitching to create a folk-art effect on pre-fused shapes. Designing fabric landscapes using this technique will be discussed. Participants will practice on pre-fused shapes.
The third phase explores machine manipulation of stitches to create a personalized style of applique. Participants will practice on pre-fused shapes and end up with a reference piece to take home.
Classroom is equipped with Husqvarna-Viking Sewing Machines.

Range of Motion
Methods of Free Motion Quilting & Paper Templating

Range of Motion is a hands-on class that explores a variety of machine quilting methods and tools.  Participants begin with basic ditch quilting and then proceed to free-motion technique and use a variety of tools to make this task easier.  Methods will include free-form designs and using paper templates.  Students will use a variety of quilting accessory feet, and needles.  Participants will also experience hands-on practice with fabric mover and stitch regulator.

Classroom is equipped with Husqvarna-Viking Sewing Machines.
