Londa Rohlfing
Londa Rohlfing is an avid seamstress and designer. After obtaining her B.S. in home economics from the University of Illinois, she worked in interior design, then managed a craft store - and along the way started to offer dressmaking as a way to sell more of the fabric she was selling from her home through Leiter's Designer Fabrics and House of Laird fabrics. That led to publishing her own line of patterns featuring heirloom sewing for women in the late 80's. From there, 1990 found Londa opening her own fabric store/sewing machine dealership in 1990. Thirteen years later, she decided to 'come home again' -- to live the normal life of a non-retail storefront owner, opting for the internet mode of retailing instead. She now offers her “cherry-picked" top quality needle art-related products worldwide through her Web site. Along the way, with fashion morphing into a very casual style, she has developed a love for creating very stylish jackets from top quality, comfy sweatshirts. Londa has published her designs and techniques in first a CD, then a DVD, printed book, and patterns. Recent years have found her traveling to sewing expos, guilds and shops to both sell and to share her “Creative Sweatshirt Jacket” techniques. Above all, Londa loves most to teach and share her designs and the techniques she has developed. She strives to do that and to offer top quality sewing products with friendly, honest, 'old-fashioned' personal service.

Stash, skills, tools and ideas – too many ideas! Design principles will guide your decisions on what, where, and how to make use of them so you look great in your garment. Many photos and jackets will teach you balance, rhythm, color, proportion and center of interest.
