Round Bobbin Springfield Quilting & Sewing Expo
Springfield, MO, April 8-10, 2010
Rita Hicks Davis
Rita’s formal studies were in graphic design that she uses in creating crafts and textiles. Her interests are broad and include sewing and surface design with embellishment and appliqué, felting, rug hooking and more. Rita’s love of fabrics, especially early calico textiles, keeps her busy collecting. She has taught workshops in rug hooking, sewing, and crochet through local grants and initiatives. Rita received a merit award through the Surface Design Org. in 2008 For her purse artwork that can still be viewed on the SGA website. And in the same year her original purse design was included in a Robert Kaufman juried traveling exhibit.
